which one of those vinyls is used on our cars....i need to redo my door panels. Looks, like the one on the left I think...
Here's the pattern in my '89. I think the dash and door panel are pattern 0005, while the door insert is pattern 1010.

Thanks Josh great pic!

That said, you probably met Paul from AutoKennel as he entered the car before listing. (He’s way cooler than I) I saw the GT there, but didn’t know it was for sale till I saw Paul’s Instagram. Bought it the following week. This was my ride that day, but not entered in the show, caught a couple nice pics in front of the lake.

Aha! Must have been Paul. He had the Gt and I think he was with a gal driving a nice black on tan S that parked next to our blue '85 euro S. Fun day, many cool folks

Yep, black car is Paul’s personal 928. Great show indeed.

OK so almost put about 300-400 miles on the GT so far, great car, love the power (thanks GB) and starting to knock out the small stuff list:

1. Fixed key head, missing porsche crest, needed bulbs and batteries. Swapped one key to a new keyhead with LED, very cool!
2. Chucked those new blade style wiper blades and installed proper metal arms as it would have come stock.
3. Rear hatch wasn’t working and replaced the latch. That is a real adventure in engineering for something so simple.
4. Installed the Bremen period look stereo, in fact, the 1989 German GT Brochure supplement shows a Bremen came stock in 1989, cool surprise!

Future list includes dealing with the front undertray, probably will go AL version, and replace all the bolts to the proper hardware. Gotta get the wheels stripped and anodized properly. New floor and trunk mats ordered with the GT logo, that will clean up the inside nice.

Have 2 bigger mechanical issues to potentially address:

1. Have a slight oil seepage on the front of the rear dif. Enough to drip, so wiped it all up and hoping its residual. Not likely but we’ll see.
2. The steering simply feels a bit off. Had the pleasure to meet Paul and Rob this weekend and took the suggestion to lift the car and spin the steering wheel to determine if there was any mechanical issue / binding. Spins nice and free so I’m sure its a hydraulic issue with the rack, valve or pump. Not terrible but likely something that needs dealing with.

Great car, glad I added a 928 to the fleet!

The radio looks great. Bought 2 myself.

The leak is from the front seal on the gearbox. Requires removal.

Yep figure that’ll be the issue. Going to watch it for now. Thanks!
