How many thousands of dollar do you suppose those will be? What was the cost the last time they were in stock?

Roger:

Perhaps an interesting data point, for what it is worth:
In my discussions with Porsche Classic about them reproducing pieces that have become obsolete, they always ask if anyone has made an alternative part.
They told me that the cost of reproducing replacement parts is extremely high, for the small volume they need to purchase and they are not interested in building new replacement parts, if the problem has already been solved.

Maybe help Porsche Classic with some parts whose engineering was a little wrong (such as seat buttons that require the seats to be removed to replace. Same with window switches etc... Your updated alternator for better power too...)

I've been a bit surprised from my 928 ownership experience thus far. My '78 been much more difficult to work on compared to my '99 996 (which is also a first model year iteration). I can't reference any other Porsches but the 996 is literally like building and taking apart a Lego.
