Default Soak tank chemicals

Good morning all.
getting ready to start cleaning two engines worth of parts. My machinist has a tank that has Mirachem in it. It is amazing. But crazy expensive.

Looking for suggestions for best solvent to use to soak parts in. Currently I’m thinking brake cleaner.

I just ordered POR15 Degreaser (Amazon), but haven't received it yet, so I can't rate it. Perhaps you can put it on your list of materials to take a look at.

Believe it or not I have Pine Sol in my tank. I think I mixed 1 to 1 with water if I remember correctly. I have a small tank and it works very well, less toxic etc.

As you probably know just don't use simple green on aluminum. I'm looking for a good one as well that doesn't cost $$$.

I use Anchor Atlantic US2003 in my ultrasonic parts washer. Aluminum safe and works wonderfully. I was turned onto this by Jake Raby of 911 motor fame when I took his M97 engine assembly course a couple years ago.

Default Looks great

Thanks all,
I was leaning to brake clean initially.
This is not for a parts washer. I have something a bit different in there.
This will be for a 20 gallon oil drum soak tank.

I could not find the Anchor Atlantic US2003, during a quick search.

Tractor supply has
Crown PSC 1000. 5 gallons @ $50.00.

I've used Berryman Chemical Dip. Not cheap, but effective.

So I ended up going down a rabbit hole.
Surprise surprise.

Looks like I am settling on the tractor supply Crown PSC 1000 or Oil Eater.

I then found myself looking at Soda blasters.

Hmm, off to TS.

Thanks all.

TASCsonic.

Has fluid tank heater (holds about 27 gallons), ultrasonic wave generator, dual fluid filters, and a sparger bar. Works really well.
