Question Oil Change Reset?

I just changed the oil in my 89 S4 and I'm getting the "dash reminder" to check the oil level. Is there a way to reset this? I did a search on the forum and didn't find an answer.

Check your oil level first.
But to cancel the warning, pull the bottom left stalk on the turn signal towards you.

Level is good. I've checked it several times, even after a short "warm up" drive. No dice...I've cancelled the warning and I've disconnected the battery for about 15 minutes. No luck. Wondering if the sensor is bad.

It is only a single wire that connects to that level sensor. Make sure that the wire is connected and not laying on the top front of the oil pan.
If it is the sensor, yours and one other would be the only two I ever heard of that were bad, so it's not impossible for it to be bad.

This -- ^

Possibly it was disturbed during R&R of the oil filter. If so, then the harness branch to the level sender was mis-routed.

I found one with its guts, in pieces, in the oil pan once. Still can't figure that out...
