I'm in the process of doing a complete clutch replacement in my '79, and had a question on throw out bearings. According to the workshop manual, there is only 1 "washer" behind the throwout bearing, See below, Pt. 15. any kits that you buy only has one of these, but when I disassembled my existing clutch, there was two, one on each side of the pressure plate, and the one on the incorrect side was broken, see attached picture. Any Idea what is correct? Why would the old one have two? Should I install it by the book or should I order a second?
Thanks
