I was going to but I want wider rears than the 9". I did take advantage of their $500 off deposit and I'm going to have them make me a set of 17" Phone Dials to my specs. Thanks for the heads up!

Cool. I was thinking the same. Maybe 8” et70 up front and 10” for the rear.

Let us know how it works out,

Less than $700 each for a custom made 3 piece wheel is a bargain. Fiske wheels were $700 each 20+ years ago.
These cannot be compared to generic one piece mass produced cast wheels.

I had a weak moment and picked these up on Black Friday, they arrived from Ontario on Wednesday 12/4, super fast shipping. I'm really impressed with these Augment wheels- 2 piece, the centers are forged and then machined. The fitment is identical to stock GTS wheels, so 7.5x17 ET 65, 9x17 ET 55. Very stout, fronts are 25 lbs 3 oz, rears are 26 lbs.

Pics:

Front weight:

Rear weight:

Rear of wheel:

Big lip on the rear 9" wheel, that's a genuine $10 bill. The paint on these is gorgeous.

Mounted on the GTS. There's a lot more 'metal' in these wheels around the holes, and I wish the lug holes had a larger radius to them, but there's still enough sidewall that they look period-ish. I think even 17's are too much on an early car, but we'll mount 'em on Minerva just for fun.

Rob,

Excellent choice and what 928 wheels should be. Combines an excellent pattern brought up to date to some extent with the 17 inch rims and excellent value if you purchased them at he Black Friday offer. Do post a pic when the car is on the deck and settled. Would be interesting to see the same in the 18 inch variant - looks very 928. You also get the benefit of the additional strength of the forged centres.

For those who wish to know what the 18's look like on a GTS, this is Harold from Minnesota's car:

With 11's under the rear of the car, It certainly looks the "Serious Performer" part...

This is a set of D90's in 17" fresh off the mill... I'm contemplating a set of these D90's in 18" with specs similar to Harold's for my outlaw GT, (.although I really like the Carrera lightweights that are on it. To make it worse of a dilemma, I'm also contemplating making them in the Club Sport configuration...

How many sets of wheels does a person really need?

I think the wheels are incredible value for the money!

Those 18 inch rims look every bit as good as I thought they would. The problem with most after market wheel sets like mine, nice as they are, do not shout "Porsche".

Rob. Is that weight 25lbs?

Yes, the fronts are 25 lb 3oz, and the rears are 26 lbs even, with the center caps. My AC charging scale is missing a few LCD segments....

I weighed the Cup 1s (with RDK) that came off the car. They're surprisingly heavy, 23 lb 1 oz in front, 27 lb 3 oz (!) in back:

Front, 7.5 x 17 ET 65

Rear, 9 x 16 ET 55
