Default 85 Euro- Identify this Wire ???

I have almost finished a Water Pump and Timing Belt project recently on a 1985 Euro. Unfortunately, I had 2 strokes and I lost track of where I left off !! A daunting task getting things back together, but doing pretty good. I Have only one (known) problem....and it concerns a Positive (+) wire that dangles down just above the alternator. Where does this wire go to??. I have identified the other alternator related wires. Does it route back up around the timing belts?? Hmmm, my mind is blank on this one.

1985 Euro -----where does this wire go to??

Does the car have ABS? If so it kind of looks like the power lead to the ABS pump.

That maybe a good possibility. I will have to see where and how the wire is routed

That is supposed to go to the ABS pump. In the engine bay forward of the pump is the correction point.

Well, I'm not sure I agree with you.. Went to the garage and looked at the ABS unit. There is a different wire that controls the ABS ( see photo) The reddish wire is no where to be seen around the ABS.

This last post shows the wire that goes to the unit, the wire you first posted is the ABS power feed wire, the white clip goes on the front cam gear cover. It appears that someone has bent the bracket downwards.
