Radio Removal - 1981 & tester pipes
sorry to be asking apparently stupid questions, but as a new 928 lover, I have lots to learn.
The stock radio obviously stinks. How does it come out on a 1981. It does not have the 2 holes per side like other radios (u stick in the tool or a coat hanger).
All info I have found says to use tool in holes.....
tester pipes -
do they make them for a 1981 ? Is it worth it ? noticeable gain in power ?
who has best product ?
Thanks

On my 83, you pull the driver's side pannal off, and then push the radio out from the back side. There is just a simple friction clip that holds the back in place.
"Test pipes" are avalible at your local muffler shop. Get them to weld in a peice of heavy duty exaust pipe. All told, it cost me 70 dollars to have the old one replaced. I can't tell you if they make a noticeable diffrence, as I've never had a cat.
