Caution:
Doing it much will destroy your tires (Captain Obvious, at your service).

However, it's also REALLY hard on the transmission. Do it enough (maybe once, maybe more than once) and you will find out how much a trans rebuild costs.
It was the first time I've done it in the 928 and the tires are over 10 years old so I was removing a little tread in preparation for new tires.

If it works you should feel it start to break the right rear loose and then straighten out

Just step on it a little on some gravel or sand for a couple of meters. Stop and get out of the car. You should see one line initially, immediately followed by two solid lines when PSD locked at 100 % for maximum propulsion. Plus of course, the green PSD light will be on while the unit is working.
