I'm no expert on the Wiessach but it was a special edition of the 928 built in one color with a special interior and wheels. I think it was only built in 1982. I'm sure there is more to differentiate it from the standard 928.

1977 to 1982 specs

Hope that answers your questions.

Great pics and info, but the one thing I would really like to know is how much they each WEIGH, with and without the tyres recommended for them.

Here's an example of a Weissach Edition 928, and some information about them in general

Chuck,
My '82 (Deerslayer) had the bronze wheels on it. I'm not sure if it came from the factory that way, but it also has the sport seats so I think it had the competition/sport package.

Chuck,
Forgot to tell you.
The Design 90 were also available as on option for the S4. So you see a few 90-91 S4's with D90's from the factory.

Hi John,

Need to make a note on the first page. Here is what I have on the "Design 90" page:

The 16" Design 90 wheel first appeared on a 1990 PORSCHE 928 GT and as a no cost option on the S4. Standard wheel on the 1990 and 1991 PORSCHE 928 S4 was the anodized forged Flat Disc Style wheel. This is a cast aluminum Design 90 wheel is painted silver.

Nicole is correct - my '82 with the competition package has the "bronze" anodized flat dish wheels, although I think the color is really platinum 'cause it matches my platinum metallic paint.

Big Dave:
I could be wrong, but I believe that the Wiessach editions were platinum metallic (655) rather than gold. Anyone know for sure?
