L jet air flow meter baseline?
1980 US
Problem, running rich, good cold start, bad warm start, no high idle on cold start, no change in idle speed with major (1-2 full turns) change in idle adjustment screw
fuel flow and pressure all ok
temp sensor and time/temp ok
timing ok
auxiliary air valve ok
air flow meter electrical resistance ok
I removed the manifold, throttle body and air flow meter for cleaning, all were filthy, currently in the cleaning process.
The question....
The bypass adjustment screw on the air flow meter that sets the fuel mix had the cap missing, indicating that someone had made adjustments and initially no cleaner would run through the bypass chamber. I got the adjustment screw freed up and did get carb cleaner through. The screw was set 1 3/8 turn from full closed. Is this a good baseline setting?
