What year ?
I recently purchased a 928 - (see who got best deal thread). It is titled as a 1981. But looking through the paint codes, it looks to me like a 1982. How can I be positive what year car it is...

the car is gray and it looks like original paint. this color gray is listed in the color codes as on a 1982 and not listed for a 1981

If the customer ordered the car, it could have been painted just about any color as a special request. Or, Porsche may have sold a few 81s with an 82 color if the paint was ready early.
