I have my mirrors off and apart for some other body work. In preparation for getting the car back together I was looking at the motor housing sections. One side I can press on the metal mirror mout plate and move it top to bottom and left to right with little resistance. The other mirror is so stiff it almost feels frozen.

Which is correct?

Can they be taken apart and lubricated?
