Cool video. I was surprised originally that they were attempting to average a 150 mph avg.. The other 928S' that competed in ORR events I attended weren't able to get over 155 mph which made hitting a 150 avg very difficult, so they did a great job on power and aerodynamics to get their car running at these speeds.

Thanks for sharing.

A touch more rebound damping should stabilize things quite a bit. Ideally having adjustable shocks (like the penskes that Tim and Cheryl ran) are ideal as you can adjust them yourself to suit the track-conditions. Of course adjustable shocks are not cheap, my bilsteins were NOT externally adjustable so the only way was to take apart and adjust valving internally

I had my bilsteins serviced and rebuilt by PSI, made a huge improvement as they were over 10 years old. Found un-even gas pressure and one had a bent shaft!
Take a look at posts 87, 91, and 92. I purposely asked Marc to set up my suspension softer to compensate for some of the rapid transitions at these speeds. This was true even after he had set up Tim and Cheryl's Beast.

That's a hell of a cert! You should be proud, that's really cool. I hope to see you and this speed machine at Sharkfest!

Just out of curiosity , what's the fastest clocked car in this event this year?

Thanks for the link. Brandan had contacted me about doing an article, I didn't know he had published it already.

It was my 928. The second fastest was a Corvette in the 160 class that hit 211 mph in the Speed Trap.

I have to take the car in to get smogged tomorrow. If all goes well I'll try and make the run down on Friday.

I found another video of my car (and a few others) crossing the finish line at the 2019 SSCC. My car appears at 4:10 into the video.

This was posted by a Japanese photographer/videographer who comes every year to cover the event for a Japanese magazine.
