Default Looking for a couple of good US 1982 injectors..

I,m looking for a couple of decent, used injectors for this 1982 928. I,ve been sorting out all the electrical issues it has and am making headway, but as far as the rough running goes,it may be 2 injectors failing. I can pull the plug on #s 7 and 8 and it doesnt affect the running at all. If I pull any other injector plug, the engine bogs down as expected, but no affect with 7 and 8. They do have signal as verified by noid light and there is spark as checked with timing light. The injectors were pulled and sent to witchhunter 2 yrs ago and these 2 came back as in " Fair" condition after cleaning. I would like to replace them with a couple verified working ones if anyone has a couple extra! If not, what would be a fairly inexpensive option as far as new ones go? Thanks ! Chuck

Merlin, no doubt they should all be done. But with the "to do" list on this car fairly long, it would be nice to have a few spares to verify the issue. 8 new injectors will be high on the list when its road worthy and ready to go!

What's your time table? Maybe a better idea to send all 8 to a place like Cruzin Performance:
https://www.cruzinperformance.com/

This is who I use, turn around time is very fast. I think I had my last set back to me in less than a week. If they are able to get all 8 flowing the same, then you won't need to worry about injectors going forward.

I can advice you with 100% certainty that good running injectors are very important. I have a 1980 928S and couple of months ago before reassembling my CIS Kjet system, I also checked all my injectors whether they were leaking.
They seem to be all ok, no leaks.
Then when driving, I noticed , especially when accelerating, some poor performance and irregular running of the engine.
So I decided to recheck the injectors differently by also measuring the opening pressure : it should be around 3 to 4 bar, while some of my injectors already opened @ 2 bar, while other only opened @ 5 bar

After the replacement of all 8 injectors, it was a completely different running car ! So yes, do replace them when these are more than 10 years old.
Ofcourse, injectors is only 1 part of the CIS kjet. Also make sure the WUR (control+ systempressure) & fuel pump have correct pressure/flow readings

If you are going to replace the injectors I would get s set of Greg's injector adapters and run later 24lb injectors.

Bosch Gen II injectors are the best for this use case as you can use the factory injector hold downs.

The L jet can handle either low or high impedance injectors so you have a lot of options.

Otherwise I would send them all out to be rebuilt (checked, flowmatched, and serviced) as recommended above to a good injector shop like Witchhunter https://www.witchhunter.com/
