Does anyone have experience with the newer Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ tires? Costco is stocking them, ~$630 out the door.
I'm getting ready to put my car back on the road, and the tires are 10+ years old, most of that having been directly in the sun...

I had good experiences with the earlier PIlot Sport AS tires on my STI back in 2004, but no experience with newer versions.

Pilot Sports are typically the best ultra-performance street tires available.

Go to Tire Rack and check their scores and user comments.

Yes,
Have the AS3+ on the 79. (225f 255r / 17)
Quiet, comfortable, stick like glue.

Love em!

Just be careful with Costco (or any tire shop actually) not familiar with the 928. Often times they will lift it incorrectly and crush those boxed sections under the cars they will think are frame rails.

I use Costo for tires, so not ripping on them. But I bring my wheels in.

Asked at my Costco if they could do tires for my 928. They took one look at my car and said "NOPE!". If they can't get it on their lifts, they won't do the tires. They don't have floor jacks. Got mine at Discount tire. They are morons there, but at least they know they have to use floor jacks.

I take my loose wheels down to discount and have them done.
No way I want them messing w the rest of the car

I use the Pilot Sport 4s. I don't drive in the winter so Summer tires work out fine for me.

But the new 2020 Corvette will be running on the new Pilot Sport All Season 4!

Running on Goodyear Eagle Sport All-Seasons. They are a pretty good tire. I'm pleased with how well they stick on dry pavement. They are no Pilot Sport, but they get the job done with what I throw at them. They were only $500 at Tire Rack when I bought them.
