Here is a good view of a factory club sport wheel (forget):

Do not confuse with the factory Design 90 wheel (cast):

Maybe you can find your current rims on that site as well. I personally - even though I love originality in cars - would not go back to 16" wheels. Rather I would upgrade my power steering pump and rack to the '91 and later setup with higher power assist. That combined with the 17" wheels is a huge imiprovement over any 928 with 16" wheels I have ever driven.

The machining on spokes are almost identical to my Forgeline Wheels and the machining marks also look like it is machined from a forged metal, so I would stick my neck out to say that you got a set of forged wheels that were made in 1995 with a 620 kg maxium load rating. I would think you would get $800 to $1000 for them if they are true and straight, and no leaks.

Tommy,

Thanks. I thought the valleys on the back of the spokes (where the spokes are not machined, for example around the word "Japan") and the words themselves looked cast.

The E-bay wheels are design 90 CAST wheels .....no magic there . BUT were what was fitted to 90> GT cars . They were far less expensive wheels . If you can find 4 of the forged rears 9x16 you can run two of them on the front with 245 width tires !!

MBMB,

My Forgeline wheels look the same at the valleys on the spokes. I was concerned also about the raised lettering on the spokes (usually that means cast) but I think in this case they were just rough forging.
