What is this with the vacuum line attached?

If I recall correctly, that is a thermo vacuum valve. The valve opens up once the engine gets up to temperature, sending vacuum to another valve by the coolant reservoir. The missing line should be linked up to the throttle body (the source of the vacuum, I believe). If you're hunting down a vacuum leak, that is probably one of them.
Good luck!

It's part of the cold-start operation.

Pretty sure the aux air valve is controlled by 12v bimetallic strip. No vacuum

well it depends on where you look in the picture,
as it also includes an AAV,
and the temp vacuum switching port.
The light seems to be centered closer to the vacuum port
NOTE vacuum routing is on the under hood diagram,
a google search may find this diagram. Its also in the WSM

Thank you to all for responding. The question is about the small vacuum port (with only on attachment) under the AAV. I do believe that one vacuum line should go to the EGR valve. Where would the other line terminate? I presume that it should be connected to a vacuum source?

it goes to one of the ports on the backside of the throttle body,
WSM diagram will show you the way
