And the valve stem is oriented to the wheel lug with red paint on the tip. I conservatively estimate a 10 hp gain doing that.

Ha ha, yep tried to ensure I had the caps pointing to the valve stem, an easy 10 hp gain....in my mind.
What I have actually found is the car is driving beautifully on the new wheel/tyre combo - I went with the Michelin PS4 235/40 and 265/35 option which seems to be a pretty common choice - the ride is excellent.
With he old 16" manholes I felt I had a wheel balance/drive train vibration issue around the 80 to 100 km/h zone.
I had the wheels re balanced but couldn't resolve it - quite a subtle vibration. But that is now gone, the ride is as smooth as silk.
I think they look good as well!
