Just so everyone knows, I'm giving preference to local buyers. I honestly would rather not deal with shipping stuff.

Front belly pan goes to Hacker-Pschorr. If he backs out, the belly pans will go to jwyatt8171.

Majestic Moose is getting the interior temp fan unless he backs out.

The following parts are still available:
  • Rear spoiler
  • 928 Intl Eibach/blistein coilovers (Surprising)
  • OTT Adjustable rear sway bar linkages (Surprising)
  • Hood liner with decal. I felt it was under-sized and left too much gap around the edges, so I never installed it, but it's DEFINITELY better than the decaying oil-soaked Waffle liner.
  • Inner quarter panel liners
  • Dash pod (has some cracks)
  • Dash pod switches
  • Hella Horns
  • Heater Valve
  • Splash shield foam
  • Drivers Side window rail
  • Locking fuel cap with key (red cover needs to be replaced
  • Black fuel door (nice condition)
  • Intake manifold and valve covers ready for stripping and painting

Just so everyone knows, the shop was not able to remove my x pipe and RMB. The insurance inspector said that all parts that were on the car when it was hit need to be there when it's picked up. Photos showed the polished exhaust tips, and it was not worth the risk for the shop to do something they weren't allowed to do.

So, whomever wins the car will get a very nice exhaust system.

The Ott links are available? If so, put them as spoken for and PM me a price?

Thanks,

Dave

How much for the hood liner? Could roll it up into a small blueprint tube to ship.-Western NY.
It seems the hood sizes are the same throughout the years? I have a '78.

Thanks

Hood liner is $75. I can definitely put it in a blueprint tube for you. I think the hood sizes are all the same, but maybe the lip is different? If it is, it'd be the first I've heard it. I decided to buy a roll of material and cut it out myself and tuck it under the lip. I will include the PORSCHE and 928 decals

FYI we had a customer who swapped several parts on the car before the insurance company had it picked up. It did not fair well.

I'd be interested in the little spring that holds the fuel door closed :-)

What was the end result? Litigation? I would not want to mess with insurance fraud... Not worth it.

Years ago, I took pics of a wrecker driver while he was looking my car over. He was loading up my car for the insurance company after it was totaled. I got a certified letter from the insurance companies attorney. My MSW wheels and audio equipment were missing by the time the car made it to auction yard. I sent them the pics of their wrecker driver admiring the audio gear. problem solved.

I'm just now seeing this thread from being redirected from the "928s for Sale" thread.
Sorry for your loss. After all of the blood sweat and tears that you put into this car, you must have felt sick on that day.
That said, congrats on the silver lining, which is the settlement! That's amazing considering that you didn't have an agreed value policy. Your advice in your first post is invaluable for those without agreed value policies. 99% of those out there with cars like ours w/out a rock-solid collector's policy will get hosed when it comes to the final payout. I've seen it and experienced it. Again, your advice is great.
Speaking of 'rock-solid' policies, I have agreed value on my GT. Wisconsin Joe, could you elaborate on what could be exclusions and limitations when it comes to an agreed value policy? Although Maryland has limitations on what qualifies as a "Historic" vehicle, my insurer doesn't put any restrictions on where I can go with my car - just where it's kept (secured garage) and how many miles I drive annually....and no visits on the track. The only thing that I'm on top of is that I need to call them periodically to adjust the agreed value with the market.

...and I have to say, I do like the look of that Jag. Although I can't speak to it's mechanical or physical character, it has a very similar visual presence to the 928.
Best of luck with your next car, whatever it turns out to be.

The ones I looked at had exclusions for driving it to work, or to a store, or pretty much anywhere but to & from a shop or an 'event'. They also required it to be parked in a secured garage at all times. I have heard (not personally) that someone had their car out in the driveway when a tree branch fell on it and the company denied coverage.
