I recently locked my keys in my car. I started trying to pop the plug out with a floor jack and the whole metal under carriage around it started buckling in with the plug. I quickly stopped that! I got in with a coat hanger. It's not hard to do if you know what your going after!

amazing!! ive never heard of this.
when my car was a street car, the top locksmith in the area was able to crack the rear hatch lock, but it was a top secret process that I couldnt even watch!!

I called out 2 locksmiths the first didn't have any info. on how to get into a 928. The second had all the info. but like the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz............ "if he only had a brain"! I peeked over his shoulder and looked at his book and figured out just what he was trying to get at. When he gave up and left I got in with a coat hanger and got it. If I was to need to do it again I would get a thin brass rod instead of a coat hanger. It's stiffer and would make the job easier.

VBU,
I didn't see where told us how to reseal the floor pan plug (?) once it is popped out with a floor jack. Jeez...seems like a lot of work to through just to get the car keys back
I honestly don't know if I'd call AAA to break into my car should this ever happen. The hillbilly tow-truck driver's 'round these parts of Florida (thanks University Towing in Gainesville, FL) "customized" one of the rubber door seals on my 535is a few years back. Needless to say I was NOT happy. I'll do any and all of the "breaking into" my 928 if/when the lock out occurs, thank you very much...

The Sealey Lock out tool kit (model # EC95 £35 in UK) covers the 928, it in basic terms tells you which tool (in the kit) to use & how to use it to unlock the 928 doors & most USA & import cars. Steck also do a kit at $73
