I'll break my own rule about owning more than one 928, at a time. Could have a trashed engine, who knows at this point?
Joe, even with a trashed engine........

Like you, I needed another 928 like I needed another hole in my head, but an 89 GT in my mind is the holy grail of 928s and one just showed up out of the blue and......and......and I just couldn't let it slide from my grasp!

My 89GT has wheels that seem to look like the ones in your avatar.
My avatar is my former 1989 CS, so the rims are CS Design, of course.
And a 1989 GT has the same rims.

Design 90 are a little different in look.

Default picturesHOT!!

Here it is, and they were very elusive about the car. Said it's been there for quite some time, doubted if the owner would sell. Looks to have been there for a couple of years, and the windows have a sun shade in them. I think it's the owner of the body shop's car, or friend of the owner. May have a big storage bill on it. I'll give it some time and check back, when it's hotter than hell here in Vegas. People are more inclined to persuasion when it's HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

John - 100% sure you have CS rims on 89GT

Joe - go look inside for a stick shift. If you see that, look at the tach for 6600 redline. If you see that, ask to see the engine, and check for the GT engine.

this is just what I did with the holy grail car that John has now. D90 rims on S4 was not a common upgrade.

Yup. I didn't know the difference between the two. I thought they were the same thing.

When I saw it in the lot back there, the first thing I noticed was the CS rims. I wondered why an S4 would have either the wrong rims, or way upgraded rims that weren't offered after 88. It quickly piqued my interest, and caused me to go hunt further.

It's a good thing Joe didn't publish the location or name of the shop. You - know - me!!!

muuuuuaahahahahhhahahaaa

Well Joe, I enlarged the picture you sent and those wheels are definitely not manhole covers. Something to check out further for sure.

John & Doc, they really look like CS rims. Could be why they played stupid in the office of the body shop. I'm gonna let sleeping dogs lay for a while. Then I'll pay them a visit wearing my patch, and a hand full of cash. I'm pretty good a persuading people to do the right thing!!!!!

Get some Joe. We're all with you.

Bottom feeding is a lost art. Cash and steely eye with a good line of trash talk will do it.
