ABS wheel harness
Since they are NLA, has anyone contemplated reproducing the ABS wheel harness that the sensors plug into, for the later cars? This is the wiring that has the white cylindrical connectors at each end.

Joe who told you they were NLA? I have most of them in stock. Which one do you need?

Mine have the insulation cracked, and the rubber grommets are crumbling apart where they fasten to the body. I'll figure which ones I need to replace and call you this week.I do have one new one in my stash of parts.

The real problem occurs when the plastic pieces on the "car end" of the harness disintegrate.
I've been cutting the car end and the wheel harness off and using a Deutsch connector here. Fits nicely into the OE plastic holder. With the Deutsch gold plated connectors, connection issues are no longer a problem.

i had one crumble to pieces on both sides and still have a phantom brake pad wear indication on the dash in my 89 because my harnesses are crispy to say the least.
I had to tape mine together as I don't want to spend $170+ each on four harnesses right now.
Just our of curiosity would a brake pad wear sensor use the same connector as the ABS harness on the main loom connected to the computer?

I'm looking into this as well. Mine broke on the car harness side. Not sure which one. I ditched the tire pressure sensors so I'm hoping it is that one

The ABS light came on for my '87 a couple of months ago. Digging into it last night, I found the sensor itself is fine, as is the barrel at the wheel end. But.. trying to take it apart, the barrel *and* the harness side connector both crumbled at the engine bay end. Oddly, the same connectors on my '89 are in fine shape, despite 50% higher mileage and hence more time exposed to high temps.
I can pick up a Deutsch connector and rewire both ends - but what to do about the ground wire? Do I get a 6-pin Deutsch and then keep the ground in the harness, and a short ring-terminal ground wire on the engine bay side of the Deutch connector?
