Default Warm Air Post Intake Refesh - help diagnosing

Recently completed my intake refresh and now sorting the inevitable small issues. No way of knowing if they are related to the refresh or just coincidental. Before I laid her up for the winter, the AC worked fine and the controls all seemed to be fully functional. Post intake refresh, now I'm getting the "warm air" at all time issue. The heater valve is new and I think is functioning properly. When I move the temp to full hot, the air gets 'hot' and when I move it full cold, it clearly gets cooler but always very warm. When I kick on the AC it definitely cools down more but can't overcome the heat being introduced.

I've read various threads and have been studying Greg Nichols but am not sure where to look next. All vac lines in the engine bay have been replaced and I'll check again that the they are connected.

Question: if the heater valve is working and cuts off the water flow, then where is the warm air coming from ?

Thanks

Some of heater valves available out there don’t seal completely. Roger has the Mercedes valves which seal properly to keep coolant out of the heater.
