I do.

The GTS belongs to Porsche France, thanks to Marc Ouayoun, former Porsche France's president and current Porsche Canada's president. Is a real cars enthusiast

Regarding the test in itself, the funny thing is that the Ferrari was out of order before they reached the track.
The GTS is described as a car that shortens distances between cities.

I don't speak French, but I do speak jive.

A touring car, compared against a mid-enging sports car. Hmmmm. I can tell one thing clearly, the gabby guy doesn't really know how to drive on the track.

Erik can chime in on the differences since his Pops owned a 355. It was a beautiful car and sounded great!

Honestly, if I could just pick two cars for my garage, it might be these, although my dream 355 is a spyder.

Hehe.

Yes, I was trying to figure out what the hell he was doing. Apexed like 70 yards early.

At least he removed the scarf.

Cool video however.

I believe all the 355's have a removable top section. Hacker's Dad had one ask him.

These two should never be compared to one another, different purpose cars.

He had a 1995 GTS which in Porsche speak is a targa. He put something like 17,000 miles on it before selling, not sure how many of those miles were from me, I did most of the maintenance for him and it was often kept in my garage.

While that statement is true, it's also confusing. My father went from a 928 to his 355 and would own either one again in a heartbeat.

FWIW with the insane price increases of pretty much every part on the 928, the thought of "cashing out" of the 928 world and picking up a 355 is gaining traction.

If I'm going to pay $500 for a fuel pressure regulator and $400 for a fuel pump, it's going into a Ferrari.

My fathers 355 was bullet proof and simple to work on, even when removing the engine. The sound of that engine at 8,500rpm is intoxicating.

I'd have no issues doing a cross country trip in a 355. As comfortable as a 928? No, but that's not saying it's an uncomfortable car. My parents, at the time in their early 70's, took the 355 on a 5 hour trip one way.

...side note, two of Jeremy Clarkson's favorite cars of all time are the Ferrari 355 and Porsche 928. So while vastly different on paper, there's something about them which draws them together.

There you go.

A comparison of the 2 exotics I like most: the 928 and the 348/355.

Yeah different, but like he said in the video "complimentary..". I guess.

I got all the French except the very last sentence about what he recommended.

Thanks for posting.

Youtube can translate it for you. On the bottom right of the screen are the settings/adjustments. Click on the CC (subtitles/closed caption) button and it will underline in red, then go to the little gearHD (settings) and click that. Click on subtitles ( it will say- French (auto generated) click that and languages will pop up. Choose your preferred language.

Joe - There is a 355 GTB that is a solid roof (coupe). So GTS, GTB & Spider..
