Ah there's my little 928S (the blue one in the last pic). Thank you for taking them, and that was a very fun little run. My thoughts:
1) Glad my 928S has second gear. It's really good to be in when on super tight mountain roads.
2) Glad I had the wide tired
3) Bears are cute, but the park ranger was keeping people away from it.
4) Deer are cute and best seen at the side of the road
5) Gravel is not cute and when you see it on a tight turn it's like a 3 second warning of "Doom!"
Lot of fun. Looks like my car is in pretty good solid condition.
Maple, Lou’s beloved dog. Beautiful dog. She’s a gentle soul. Mimosa’s for breakfast... Weather has been beautiful today! Slight threat of rain that did not come to pass.
It is a banner day for me. I got to drive not one, but TWO 5spd 928’s today!
I got to beat on an early 87 S4 on the roads around Banner Elk and I got to shuffle an 85 S3 around the curves on the fun run. AWESOME!!!

What did we learn today? I am sh*t with the shifter in a 5spd 928...😑

My first thought was, “Someone actually ordered this?!?! when the waitress brought it out.
She insisted it was mine. Then I saw Hans red faced and absolutely dying in his chair...

I have 4 months to come up with an appropriate response for Hans at FRENZY.

I think Seth deserves an award for providing the mobile support services vehicle, plus posting event photos and descriptions, all without (yet...) having his own 928 on the road. Too many events fly by, and no chance for thse of us who can't attend. Pics of cars and PEOPLE are second best to being there.
