Semi-OT: Great OpEd by Automobile Mag on Cayenne Coupe w/ video by Dr. Porsche w/ 928
This link is an Automobile article about how the Cayenne Coupe is basically not a sports car and not a true Porsche.
Good read. (It has always bugged me personally labeling anything with more than two doors a "coupe.")
I post it here mostly for the video linked at the end the article, of an old ad that had Dr. Porsche talking about what a Porsche really is (essentially proving the point of the article).
Near the end of this video....a few shots of a 928. (Can't tell what year or model, but it has an S4-type spoiler.)

Couldn't agree more with Automobile's viewpoint on this. Why make a 2nd Cayenne and if you must, don't call it a Coupe - call it Cayenne Gran Turismo or something else. So it looks worse than a regular Cayenne (less Sport), holds less (so less Utility), and is a completely unnecessary addition to the product family (so also less Vehicle) - it's the less SUV, SUV.
If they want to create something they don't currently have, make a slightly smaller 2-door Panamera that has design elements of the Taycan to be the reintroduction of a 2-door GT car like the 928 was in it's day, but for God's sake, don't call it a 928 either, as there was only 1 of those and will never be another with the current platform sharing, etc that's now required to make a profitable car.

Meh. It's marketing. BMW & M/B have one. Even Honda has one. Just saw it the other day. Just as ugly.
R&D on it is virtually zero. Gonna guess that it's got enough of the Cayenne 'bones' that they won't need to crash test it.
I would guess that the 'break even' sales point is extremely low.
Somebody's gonna buy it. Remember, there were people that bought the Aztec. And the Pacer.
It's not a 'coupe'. Those have 2 doors. And a bench seat. And no back seat. Just a trunk. Or maybe a rumble seat.
