ID plates and Option stickers...
Is anyone reproducing the Euro (hood latch area like shown in pic) ID plates? I have a 78 Euro where it is missing. I have the VIN stamped in the fender well and the title, but the front plate parted company with the car a some point.
On another car I have a faded but readable options sticker that came off with a chunk of sound deadening. Anyone reproducing these, with info from an original trunk sticker or an owners manual?
I know this could open the door to people making up options and VIN plates for nefarious purposes, but if you have the appropriate documentation one should be able to obtain this stuff.

Not a whole lot 'nefarious' that will happen with the data plate. It has the VIN, but what it mostly has is weights.
No clue how to make a new one, but you might try Mark. See if they are willing to take one off a car going to the crusher.
I'd bet you could somehow change the VIN on the plate. Or at least someone could.

If you can get a straight on pic of the options sticker with a ruler showing dimensions, I can replicate it.

i just got a new VIN plate for my SE from local OPC, just needed to give them all the cars paperwork and they ordered it.
they quoted me £75 but it took 2 years to get- a **** up on Porsche's part as they just sent a blank VIN plate the first time, then Porsche would not reply to dealers email.
but they kept trying and it turned up on the second try.
i guess it should take 6-8 weeks if all goes as it should.
luckily they did not bill me for it as it took so long
cheers

Man I'm going to owe you a lot of beers one day... more than you can have in a single seating.
