Santa lives!!
Listen folks. There is a Santa Claus. And FYI, Devek knows how to contact him. He lives in Los Angeles somewhere in a warehouse in which are stashed some NOS Porsche 928 goodies. And if you are really good.....he will bring you some of them. He may be bringing me a goodie that no one would believe exists. But until I have it in my hot, sweaty hand, I won't tell you what it is. And don't you go calling Devek just yet, or you'll screw this all up and all the goodies will be gone. When I get it for sure, if I stay a good boy, I will post a description here and you will then rush home and tell your families that Santa is alive and well in L. A. And they will all want to be cool and good too.
Stay tuned. It may happen any time now.

Hint
OK, but only a hint. You won't believe it when you hear what it is, so........
it is.......made of steel and plastic .....and the Army would like it's color.

JE928:
Aw, you're no fun. You cheated and called Devek. I'm going off to pout and grumble.
Imagine a NOS brand new dashboard. Now of course you would not spread this on a 928 forum would you??
Happy days may be here again, just as soon as we see in what condition these exist. The color of mine is not exactly avocado, but that is close enough. You win the sly mongoose award. Menehunes will deliver it tonight while you are sleeping. Don't worry. They only do good things.

I was right? I just figured the two mythological NOS parts of a 928 were wingnuts (OK BOLTS!!!!) and dashboards (OK besides the small stockpiles of wingnuts, expansion valves, O2 sensor counters and CC Vacuum units I have stashed) . You gave me the color and composits to identify it.
Sorry to spoil it.

Winner!!
Well, don't forget to leave food out tonight for the menehunes, 'cause they
won't come around otherwise.
But if that doesn't work for you then you win the Bright Guy of the Week award. I didn't think anyone would have been that fast. My interior is greenish-grey which is somewhat uncommon so it is even more amazing that you put that together.

Re: Winner!!
Hmmmmmm........I hope menehunes like leftover Thai food, some spagetti I'm afraid to lift cover off it's so old, Jack Daniel's and lots of condiments......cause that's about all I have here.......maybe some filtered H2O?
It wasn't too hard. I think the Dash and pod are the only two items that made of both metal and plastic. Also I have two of the darn things sitting next to my computer desk (1 cracked and 1 less cracked to temporarily replace it) at home because my S4 looks like below while I track down a nagging little electrical gremlin.
Oh well.

After all of the recent posts about the leather covered dash pads...I did a little searching for a core and came across a NOS 928s4 dash in JAX for $1000. I emailed the seller but have not heard anything back...go figure. I was going to try to talk 'em down a bit...fat chance, I know

No airbag, it's an 88. It would have to be dyed black, and I have a line on a used one from a soon to be track S4 that is perfect. It would have to be a great deal to do otherwise.

How is it that there is a stash of NOS Avacado Green dashes anyway? I've probably seen some 5 or 6 hundred 928's in person both in the states and Europe, and I don't recall ever seeing any Avacado interiors. What's up with that.
