Default First 928!!! Exhaust question

Hey guys, I recently purchased a 1985 928S 5 spd!!! Not my first Porsche but my first 928. My brother in law has been a member of the 928 community for years and has always made it seem very appealing. My 928 is definitely a fixer upper needing some work as well as some TLC. One of my first projects is swapping out the modded exhaust the previous owner installed for a factory set up. I have taken a few pictures of the set up before and what the mounting brackets at the rear look like. Am I missing any of the factory brackets needed to mount the factory rear muffler section? Any advice or pictures of a factory rear muffler/brackets would be greatly appreciated. Very excited to get this on the road and not being as loud and obnoxious.

I'd refer to the PET. You can download the Porsche Classic Catalog for the 83-86 928 here: https://www.porsche.com/usa/accessor...artscatalogue/

Once you download the pdf, scroll to illustration 202-05. There's about 10 pages with all the exhaust parts and how they connect. If you need new parts, like rubber hangers, clamps, hooks, etc., call Roger at 928s R Us. If you need used parts, like a muffler, call Mark at 928 International.

Welcome aboard Kicker. What part of the country are you located? Here's a link to Auto Atlanta's website. They have the PET that you can search through. The link is for the exhaust section for 83-86.

Alright! Another '85 5spd!

Welcome Kicker02. Be sure to look up the Porken Chips. They really wake up the 85-86.5 928S.
