OK, trying not to be a horse's *** moderator here, how 'bout a suggested solution, Kevin:
Why don't you encourage your friend to at least show up and post a time or two in the thread. At least he then makes an appearance and has a presence in the thread. If he can do that, I'll exercise a little discretion, sit on my hands, and not delete the thread.
