I damaged one wheel last year and the others now have some stone chips.
I'm going to have them all refinished, including the aluminum centre caps. Oem Silver or Hyper Silver? My car is white, AMG wheel is the Hyper Silver colour, for reference only.
Adam, This guy has some great how to video's on YouTube. Its very simple to do and can even do it with the tires mounted...amazing product. T https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGNcD5pqkvI
That is cool Tony. But I have one wheel with two nice marks that would need to be filled and sanded first. I can get all 4 re-painted for about $500 cdn (which is only $362 usd).
I tend to prefer darker wheels on light-colored cars (why I have black wheels on a silver car). In your case, black would look OK but a gunmetal finish as in the example on the 911 above would look great.

Just my personal opinion...
I have always liked the gunmetal colour as well. Hmmmm
IMHO, if painted, you can never go wrong with OEM, especially with rarity of cup I. With plasti-dip, you have nothing to lose, just peel it off. But for a permanent solution, OEM all day long.
the gun metal will look great and will help hide the brake dust. T
True, I clean them so mutch I end up taking the wheels off to clean the inner barrels as well.

I don't think I could handle the weekly cleaning. But that does look sharp.

Yep I think OEM is the way to go.
I had this same delema a few years ago. I think in the end it is because I really don't like white cars.
OEM SIlver it is. Thank you for the input and votes.
I've seen more goals in a football match-
But you got the correct result!
My stock wheels were painted by the original owner in a two tone finish with the rims stock silver and the spokes cobalt blue as per body colour. They used to look quite OK and now are awaiting refurbishment- as and when I do they will have a stock finish as well.
Snow day today so I got bored and did some colour shifts in Photoshop. I do like the look of gunnmetal a bit better than the OEM silver as it gives the car some contrast. FYI the windows are now tinted on the car, so that does change the overall look a bit.
Obvioulsy my white colour shift is not very accurate, if going that route I would have them colour matched to the Grand Prix White.
