I like your pre-edit idea better. That was funny and totally true. Imagine the double take at car shows.

I'm on the fence between OEM and gunmetal. For originality and for re-sale OEM is the way to go, hands down.. It's just hard with a white car IMO, and if I'm thinking purely aesthetics, I feel that something with a little more contrast will have more "colour pop".

Anyways, I still have time to think while we plow through winter up here.

At least in those pictures, I really did not like the Hyper Silver. OEM looks fine, gunmetal and bronze (I was surprised by this) both look better, to my eyes. Not a huge fan of the white wheels on a white car, but I may be blinded by these being SOOO white lol...

Ya I think the hyper silver would be ok on a metallic finish car, but definitely not on white. It just looks odd with the wheels significantly brighter than the car.

Sorry on the white. It's been years since I did automotive colour shifts and going to white is one of the hardest colours to shift to (Unless your start point is a flat colour). So I gave up. LOL

I had toyed with going Bronze a few years ago. While I think it looks nice, I would be concerned that the novelty might wear off quickly. I guess you could say the same for white.

I think now I'm going to play with a few different shades of gunmetal for a final comparison to the OEM silver.

with the newly painted rims, are you planning to freshen up the calipers with new paint or powdercoat...

Yes, I'm going to give the calipers a fresh coat of black. And I will be either repainting the rotor hats or new rotors if it's time (I have 25k on the brakes so an inspection is due).

Wheels are at the shop for refinishing. I ended up going with a gunmetal, but on the lighter side vs a traditional gunmetal. And they are going to do my aluminum centre caps with the Porsche crest in two tone gold/gunmetal.

I will post pics when I get them back in a week or two.

I couldn’t be happier with the result. Will post more pics once I get them back on the car.
