It doesn't say aluminium or steel. I believe the real early ones were steel. I have a good aluminium one for my 78 but I am interested to make or buy an aftermarket one to save the real one. What years were the steel ones?

The one Roger posted is aluminum. I think what he meant by early is it's a pre-S4 type.
Early early steel was 78-79
