Dear George,

The 928OC supports 928 events across the country. One of these events is coming up next month at PCNA in Atlanta that we'd like to make you aware of and hope you'd consider attending.

The event is called RENDEZVOUS 928, 27-29 June 2019 at the Porsche Experience Center (PEC) in Atlanta. This gathering of 928 faithful is to celebrate our favorite Porsche model while 928 #1 is on display at the PEC. This is a significant opportunity for us to show the folks at PCNA what a passionate and enthusiastic group the 928 community is while hanging out with our 928 friends and enjoying what the PEC has to offer. Let's load the PEC up with 928s! Links to event information and registration are provided below. Pre-registration is mandatory! Sign up via the ClubRegistration.net link below.

Here's the plan:

FRIDAY 28 June

7:30PM: Welcome social at the Kimpton Overland Hotel (Host hotel next to the PEC - reserve your room directly with the hotel. Trailer parking is available)

Here is our route. I'll likely take the most westerly route to avoid Chicago traffic altogether.

Default Thanks for the Support

This started as a couple guys getting together to enjoy the day looking at PEC and admiring the #1 on display. Now this has developed into a truely respectable EVENT and shows our strength and dedication that our 928 community has. We want to thank each and everyone for showing their support. With your help, This event will continue to grow.
Please continue to help this EVENT grow !
We cannot wait to see you here.

Okay if this is posted to the Facebook groups?

Porsche 928 Owners of Florida
Porsche 928 Owners
928 Rennlist Group
928 Docs

Assuming it has been picked up by the regional PCAs in Zone 3 and 12?

I'll do my best to help spread the word if any of the above aren't covered off, yet.

Feel free to push it around...the more 928s that show up, the better. Thanks Trey

There's some great hardware registered so far...

Dave K,

Good to hear that you are putting things together with all the great guys that I've met through the "928's in Hell" event. Steve Hoyt is also in on this caper, (XX8/U-Boat pilot for many years) and he will be driving his 911 unless I can convince him to drive another of the 928's here. Hopefully, we can convoy it down and if there is trouble with someones car, we'll just swap it with the XX8 in the trailer and continue on our merry way.

I'll also pack a generous bag of tools and a floor jack in the trailer for additional options to keep all of us rolling.

Soooo.... C-mon gang from Hell --- Let's make our caravan the biggest group to arrive!

Carl,

That is one bad *** rig! Our paths will join in Chattanooga Tenn, unless you take the easterly route... Do not blame you one bit for avoiding the Chicago traffic and condition of the roads there...

Damn Carl!

What a monster! I can see the national news headlines now:

PCNA headquarters glass blown out! Atlanta's International Airport closed due to sonic blast.

Details to follow!

LOLOL She's not quiet, that's for sure. I will be limited at just what I can do without a load on the motor and a lot of room but I do plan to idle it for the guys, maybe a couple short burnouts if the organizers allow it, and I can rev the motor to 4500 without a load OK so they can hear it. I'll do that stuff. But I won't rev a race engine motor to redline without a load on it... just in case your wondering.

Besides - there are so many sharp 928's coming, plus Porsche 928 #1 - there are so many other good reasons to come to this event - lot's of eye candy!
