928 S2 Purchase..!

Welcome. You've got one of the better 928s. Last of the 16v, most powerful of them too.
It seems to be a 'late' 84 (first registered in Nov). Some of the early ones used up the inventory of lower compression pistons from the 83 motors, but I would guess that by the time yours was made, it used the later pistons. It may even be a model year 85. I know they use 'registration year' as year over there. Post the VIN in the "Official VIN Check" thread and you can find out what options it originally came with, as well as the model year
As noted above, belt failure will bend valves. If you don't have a record of when it was done last, replace it. Porsche replacement interval was 50k miles, many folks who don't put many miles on them go for a 5 year interval. Some 'experts' swear up an down that it should be shorter, but they are also shop owners who make money on changing them. A lot depends on the environment. Hot & dry (Middle East or US Desert Southwest) are much harder on the rubber than cool and damp.
If you haven't already, read through the 'new visitor' sticky thread. Lots and lots of valuable and useful info.
The flex plate issue does not apply to manual transmissions. Any load that would be on the thrust bearing would be negated by the fact that the intermediate shaft isn't fixed. It would just pull out a bit. The flex plate fixes the shaft to the fly wheel and allows any tension on the shaft to be carried to the crank. There have been a very few thrust bearing issues with manual cars, but not a real problem.
I don't recall any discussion of this car in the forums. It may have been noted in the "928s For Sale" sticky thread. I don't keep current on that one.

I havn’t changed the belts, but when i inspected them they looked in good shape.
Instrument cluster earth - to resolve intermittent fuel gauge currently 2/3rds full but you should keep filled up on the drive home just in case i got it wrong.
Front coil springs
Oil sump gasket change
Dehumidify following carpet clean.
...
replace window scrappers - supplied
replace sunroof seal - it always bothered me that they sprayed over it.
straighten rear interior cards
reconnect timing belt sensor wire - took me a while to work out what it was.

The good things are:
The tyres are great
Breaks where done
Spark plugs new
HT leads New
Distributor - i started to renovate a spare one but actually the existing one working fine
Air Filter new
The other bit i always really wanted to do is upgrade the suspension all round, and polybush everything, just to tighten everything up.
Then its just a respray!

Nice that the air filter is new (and appears to be in right side up), but two of the straps are missing. Those are important.
And readily available.

Is that Cross Member / Brace bolted in under tension..? Or can I remove it without lifting the Car etc.? Could do with a refresh..!
