Get a set of the modern four hole injectors from Roger. You won't regret it even if it doesn't fix the issue and you can rule out one thing.

Default Vacuum Leak or ? 78 928 4.5 US

Hi All, Hope one of you could help me. At the time when engine was pulled to do oil pan gasket I emd up changing all gaskets and sealimg OEM manifold (in the pics) with the one from 87 928 (much less restrictive some HP gain) when the OEM one was pulled I realized that it had a lot of vacuum hoses connected to it. I plugged all the hoses since now with the 87 manifold I had nothing to connect them with. Ever since car idle and runs super rich to a point that you can smell gas in the front. Please see the pics and let me know if any of you know what that extra stuff on manifold is and if plugging those vacuum hoses is my solution or if they need to be connected to something else. Thanks.

Those are lines from the air pump. They supply fresh air for the cats. If you don't have the air pump or the cats you can just plug them. Not having the air injected is prolly freaking out the O2 sensor giving you max rich.

So that’s exactly what’s happening the car is running rich how can I fix this with 87 manifolds that doesn’t have room for this pump to be installed.
