Here is some basic info about Porsche Palooza for those thinking about attending this year after the fun of 3rd Coast.
The event website is HERE and the event headquarters is the Convention Center at the host hotel Best Western Inn of the Ozarks.
The event agenda is mostly ala carte and typically consists of a selection of half-day and full-day drives on Thursday and Friday with an attendee-paid meal at the convention center Thursday night (or dinner in one of the MANY great area restaurants) and a sponsor-paid dinner of burgers and brats on Friday night (costs you a donation to either the children's shelter or the animal shelter e.g. box of diapers, sack of dog food, etc.) Saturday morning has a selection of 2 to 4 hour drives followed by a parade of cars through the historic downtown, then a people's choice car show (usually 300-350 Porsches of all flavors), tech sessions, and a final attendee-paid banquet with lots of door prizes. One prize is usually a full set of Bridgestone tires donated by one of our local sponsors and Bridgestone. Sunday morning there is a farewell continental breakfast of coffee, fruit, and pastries.
The website usually opens for registration in late September or early October, in other words as soon as we can get all the details for the year pinned down. The drive rosters fill fast with the Thursday/Friday tours usually capped at 25 cars per drive so register early. More cars than that is too difficult for one leaders/sweeper manage safely.
If the host hotel is full the other Best Western just down the street usually matches the event rate. There are lots of quaint B&B's if that is more to your liking along with two historic hotels, The Crescent Hotel (1886) and the Basin Park Hotel. (1905).

^^^ That's a ~35% bump from last year. Taking a page from Porsche parts pricing playbook I see.

Several years ago at Third Coast, there was a couple that showed up with a 928 that the owner had replaced the carpets with permanently installed ceramic bathroom tile. Did anybody happen to get pictures of that?
