Interior will be pricey if you don't do some of it yourself, but if I were sending it out...Rob Budd's old place is the place to go. He's sold, but his apprentice is good from reports of folks here...

If I find a good 928 candidate and had budget for interior, what's a ballpark cost to have a quality shop to reupholster? I figure I'd drop the pieces off, not the car of course, and do all the disassembly and reassembly myself.

Talking

So after nearly TWO years I finally got the passenger rear quarter panel back from the upholsters, the son took over the auto side of the business and he is a bit of a space cadet. Luckily the guy who does really good work is still there and he did a great job, There was some mumbling about how it took much longer than the 2 hours quoted, not my problem

So opened up the holes for the speakers, upper seat belt mount and coat hook and on to the car.

This side has always been a lot tougher to fit than the drivers side and put up a struggle but was careful with it and the leading edge by the door finally went home Then down to the basement to find all the other interior panels.

You can see here the gap that I was having issues with.

Rear seat and console in

OK I did enjoy this view for a while

Front seat in, forgot how heavy they are ....

Console in

It is not perfect but I am good with it and big improvement on the job I did nearly 20 years ago converting from burgundy to black .....

Yep buy a car and think, hmmm I can live with that, a few days later .... time for a change, just incase you had forgotten how bad it was here is a pic to jog your memory (Yep those seats were a certain type of crap vinyl). The butgundy steering wheel was already "In the bin" at this point.
