I have one in the 928, one in the 944, one on the bench in the basement, one in the 'road tools' bag for work, one more in the bathroom (maybe).

They are 'free with coupon'. The only thing I have more of is the flashlights.

Well...

Maybe. Something like that.

Actually, I'm old enough that I can't justify the cost of Snap-On or Mac or other high priced 'lifetime guarantee' tools.
So the stuff I'm buying is often "Pittsburgh" from HF.

And I'm cheap enough that I won't make a trip to HF without a 'free with purchase' coupon. The tape measure breaks very quickly, I can only use so many sets of screwdrivers (4), I've got several packs of batteries on the shelf, ect.
The DVMs are 'good enough' for most of what I do. Having one handy just about anywhere I need it is nice

I have two $15 HF multimeters that are in the travel and garage tool sets. I had another one that I fried and decided two was plenty. I also have a $100 Klein DMM that I use mostly to check the HF meters. Every other trip to HF I pick up scissors and safety glasses. They are pretty low quality but it's nice to have brand new for just a buck. I too have screwdrivers of many colors and can't bring myself to throw away the useless ones, like the star-bits.

It's a sickness. But what are you doing to those poor tape measures?

They get dropped from the top of the ladder. The 'brake' gets worn out. Hint: the brake wear-out is covered under the lifetime hand-tool warranty, according to the local store clerk. The drop damage not so much. Warning -- if you start a project with one of these, be sure to finish with exactly the same one. I went through maybe half a dozen to find two that read exactly the same at around 6' for my DIY 928 wheel alignment toolkit.

I have two Kleins that I love, but I wanted some MM's for my toolbox and my car that weren't quite as big or expensive.
Have two of these at $10/unit and they have worked great! I've tested values against my Klein and they seem spot on.
Perfect size (not too big) for toolbox. Even backlit and come with batteries:

I have a vintage Fluke model 75, from 1983. It's the best tool I'll ever have. I think I'll be buried with it.

Best tool I ever bought was my lift. Getting buried with it could be a problem. On it? That would seem to defeat the purpose of being buried, but then again I don't want to be buried. I've left orders I should be put out on the back 40 to be eaten by my dogs...

Not sure my dogs would eat the meter though. Or the lift. They're particular.

I've had a Fluke 87 for over 20 years now, and it's one of the best-tool purchase all-time.

Its main gig though is for working on vintage guitar amps, and for cars it's a breeze.
