With all the aluminum heads available for a BBC, installing a 4 valve head with very limited camshaft capacity seems a bit....eccentric.
BTW....did it ever run? The engine in the picture is little more than a "mock-up", with a bunch of pieces missing.
The intake looks like an aluminum version of a Phil Threshie intake, BTW.

Well, I am very impressed, making an engine block out of a big chunk of aluminum. How far technology has come. For a new engine block provision should be made for larger bore, at least 4.250", maybe up to 4.500" will be possible. Furthermore improved engine ventilation from the crankcase should be implemented so we can get rid of the ventilation through the valve covers which is a bad thing.

Greg and I spent MLK day scanning a GTS block that happens to be apart. About 200 separate scan images (22 GB of data) that I'm aligning manually. The damned day job keeps getting in the way but the worst of teaching season is almost over.

If I remember right there was a hot rod that was a BBC with 928 heads..../had something like 550ftlbs at 2500rpm.... wasn’t it as sharktoberfest years ago?

His laptop has 10x the calculating and storage space that every computer I own, all together, has. Each one of the scans are huge....combining them into one file is many, many gigs of data.
Whatever that means....
