I have had 2 or 3 radiators leak tested..were fine, and then tanked to brighten up the metal...and I got some milkshake from the cooler as well.

I think it was just part of the tank process, I just flushed it out. Its on my car today.

FWIW, brake cleaner is not the best thing for plastic. Use laundry detergent and the garden hose to clean out the coolers.
