Spotted in the wild, back of a third rate shop, dusty, dirty, windows all crapped up. I looked in and there's a stick coming out of the console. Check the rims, they are GT style offset rims. Hmmmmm, this is interesting. Not running of course. I go back a few days later, check the engine code, trans code, option sticker and everything is adding up to: 1989 928GT with 116k miles. No airbag, digi-dash, H4 lamps up front. I make the steal,, I mean deal. Guy doesn't know what it is, it's like deja vu all over again.
Put in a batt, crank it while spritzing carb cleaner. After a bit - it fires! I have oil pressure, dash lights up with some faults, but we're ahead of the game. Grab the tow strap, hook up to the truck, then wait, wait, wait, wait, wait while the douche seller figures out the title paperwork. We are finally OUT OF THERE! With a 89GT. Yes - yes, we did. Note a couple things. Front air dam is present, and in decent shape too. Needs to be attached again. Belly pan is in the back. Unmolested car. Look at that orig phone!!!

It was our Karma. We went to help out with that stranded S4, and the 928 gods smiled down upon us. Things almost went REAL pear-shaped when I found a Lamborghini stuffed back in the corner. But - I demurred.

Miss that 86. That was a stone sweet car. I also miss my Venetian/can-can. Sold that one too cheap. This one is going for $$$$ once sorted.
