1982 928 rough start when hot
Hello all,
I'm a relatively new 928 owner. My 1982 928, with an automatic, just started having trouble starting when the engine is warm. It does start roughly, but stumbles once ignition is achieved. After a short time of stumbling, the engine runs smooth and there is no problem.
What could this be?

put in a bottle of techron and 6 oz of MMO to your gas.
do short runs so the mix has time to work

L-jet or K-jet? My K-jet did this spontaneously, even stalling when idling in the first few minutes, initial idle under 900rpm. The Aux air valve was not opening enough, so I drilled out the rivets, froze it, bent the spring attachment until it was open more. Checked that it still almost closed when hot - close. Closed it up with M6 bolts. Cold idle went up to 1100rpm.Once hot adjusted idle with screw. L-jet uses same AAV, so Pull the front and rear hoses off, shine a torch through and see how open it is. Not sure if my interior is the same - I dont recall touching the bimetallic strip.
