Default "Corky"

"A corky personality is lively, bubbly and generally fun to be around with -- "You are so funny and I love your corky personality" -- and it's a compliment."

I'm starting this thread on Zach's (zggs) behalf. Zach's now on the road and will chime in with more details on this beautiful MY79 soonT

Awesome. Everyone should experience a Cork interior on a sunny day.

Is this the car from Texas that was vouched by Roger? That's the only Silver/Cork pascha that I know of in this condition.
Jealous!

Correct...Zach purchased this OB from Randy (mechanic) who has a shop in the DFW area and has owned this OB since 1979 ! I tried to get Randy to bring it to 3rd Coast for years but he always brought his 996 Turbo. Zach said he will bring it to Camp 928 in June. T

UPDATE...A BIT OF A HISTORY ON CORKY
CORKY my 79 Pasha 928 #465, was bought slightly used by Randall Kara in 1979 from Brumos Porsche Audi. It was his dream car, so he took out a substantial loan to acquire it. Owing a large sum of money and being a extremely careful car guy, he began protecting his investment from the beginning. He removed and stored the factory floor mats, rear mat and luggage cover and replacing them with aftermarket mats. He always kept seat saver covers on the front seats and always covered the car when parking it in the sun or outside for longer periods of time.It was always garaged and used mostly on weekends. Eventually he was forced to sell the car. Both of the next 2 caretakers were acquaintances and were mature, professionals. He was able to buy the car back in 2003. He brought it to his Porsche repair shop and over the next few years did a long list of mechanical repairs and regular maintenance. I bought the car almost 2 years ago and every day that I take it out I am amazed at the original condition. It was a sunroof and rub strip delete but unfortunately one of the previous owners added the rub strips. I'm planning on taking it out more often this coming year, so more of you guys will be able to see it in person. I am honored to be it's current care taker.
Thanks to Tony for starting the thread and posting the pictures.

That car is stunning, and I have not seen that combination before. It really works. The silver comes alive next to that cork/pasha
