OK so what is the difference in the 64 - 65 and 75 versions ??

55 = 100.48 mm
65 = 100.49 mm
75 = 100.50 mm

"My" parts supplier is the same as yours....Porsche.

They didn't have any 2 months ago....but they said they were on back order, not NLA.

This also happened recently with a 5th gear for an '85/'86 transmission. Porsche said they didn't have any and Tuomo's mechanic ordered (and received a couple of weeks later) two of them.

Maybe there's an issue with my local dealer....maybe this stuff is coming off of back order?

How about you check on 1st oversize (100.5mm) '85/'86 pistons...they tell me these don't exist, either.
