Default Help diagnosing electrical gremlins

My '90 S4 just turned over 76,000 miles on the odometer this week and I was going make this a post in celebration of that milestone. Stating, that, for the most part the car had been running without problem for the last several weeks of daily driving duty. However, it's been a fairly cool week in the Phoenix area, so I had turned the A/C off on my morning drive and noticed that it would not turn back on for my return trip. Nor would the fan. I get plenty of air flowing through the vents when the car is moving (as long as the A/C is off), but the fan does not work. And, in what may be an unrelated item, locking or unlocking a door with the key no longer locks or unlocks the other door. Any suggestions where I should start to look in fixing these items? I cannot find Alan's handy fuse/relay chart to help me troubleshoot this.

Click on the upper right of the screen where it says (on my screen at least) "Sponsored by 928 Specialists www.928gt.com". Lots of info including year by year relay/fuse info. You should also have a diagram inside the plywood cover on your CE panel.

You bet! A partial give-back. Only recently have I gone from always asking to occasionally answering.
