Default Timing Belt “HOW TO” Video

This is the most detailed video on a belt change that I’ve seen, worth a look.

I didn't watch the whole thing, but, is it customary to spread adhesive on the WP/gasket interface? Melting the plastic shroud to get a puller on the crank sprocket? I hope not, as I didn't do any of these things.

Cool. I've never seen this car before. Must be someone that lives on the east side of the Cascades.

I shot a LOT of video when I replaced the belt my first time. I had two cameras running and narrated as I worked. It took a lot of re-dews as I made mistakes, and redid stuff for the camera. It's pre-HD too. Probably 20 hours spread between the two cameras. I could edit it down to about half of that, but that's about the same amount of time it takes to actually do the work. Still not enough hours available to do a serious editing effort. Kudos to anybody that tries this, but circulate drafts to a few experts to make sure you are actually showing the right way to do it. No melted or broken plastic, no parts left over, tensioner and rollers rebuilt, and engine runs.

Dr Bob - I think I recall watching parts of your video many years ago. Am I remembering correctly that it was available?

Ed, I don’t remember sharing it. So quite unlikely unless someone hacked my home server.

Thanks Dr Bob. Maybe it was an old Frenzy video of some job that you did. Don't exactly remember, but I do remember it was good
