Default Question About S4 Oil Drain Back Passages

I borrowed this picture from Ed Scherer's very interesting and informative thread.

I used the same technique with the little foam squares to block off the oil drain back passages.

My question involves the quantity... Are there actually four or five per side..?

I just checked, and I only have four foam sponges that I retrieved from each side..!

Should I go back in..?!? Or perhaps I never plugged one of them? Or are there only four per head?

Thanks in advance guys!

I only had four on each side. I was replacing the cam chain tensioner pads, so the critical sponges for me were the two central passages beneath the tensioner.

Each head has 5 return channels. The block has 4 on each side.

While I have no idea how many chunks of foam you used, if there is any possibility that you left 1 or 2 in the heads, you should go back and take a look.

Thanks guys. There's actually only four oil drainback passages per side.
On the far right side of each head, it kind of looks like there's a fifth one.
But that one only flows down and around sideways within the head itself.
I only plugged the four passages that go down into the block.
I used the little foam squares, and they worked absolutely perfect.
But I already had everything all closed up when I saw the picture above.
It was the reference to five sponges that got me wondering and asking.
After looking at some additional pictures, I can see that I'm good.
Full speed ahead!
