FWIW, I had to replace mine almost immediately after the car adopted me over 20 years ago. The replacement piece was under $5 -at the local dealer- way back then. I eliminated the hard plastic hose/pipe section between the Y and the canister, and secured all the hoses with cable ties so there is no stress/loading on the plastic Y. That one is still in service with no durability issues.

The attached PDF includes the details of the install. Images ofn that 1997 effort are from a state-of-the-art 640x480 Epson digital camera.
